One-Click Face Alignment
Select any two faces on different mesh objects; the add-on automatically calculates the necessary rotation and translation to bring the first face flush against the second.
No need to manually compute normals or pivots—Face & Edge Align handles it for you.
Optional Edge Matching
If you want even tighter control, enable “Align Edges” in the sidebar or pie menu. After choosing two faces, you can also pick one edge from each face. The add-on then twists the first object so that the selected edges become perfectly parallel (or anti-parallel), ensuring seamless continuity along edges.
Ideal for matching panels, pipes, or any scenario where the faces share a common seam.
Live Visual Feedback
When hovering or selecting, pink markers appear at each face’s center, and an outline highlights whichever face is under your cursor. Once both faces are selected, a semi-transparent pink line connects their centers—so you always know exactly what will happen before you click.
If edge alignment is enabled, the chosen edges are highlighted in a darker pink, and live labels (“Edge 1”/“Edge 2”) identify which edge you’re about to snap.
User-Friendly Interface
Pie Menu Shortcut (default Alt+A): Quickly access “Face Align” or toggle edge-alignment in a single radial menu.
Sidebar Panel (N-panel): A dedicated “Face & Edge Align” tab includes a checkbox for edge alignment and a big “Face Align” button—everything you need is right at your fingertips.
Configurable Hotkey: In Add-on Preferences, choose your own key (with Ctrl/Shift/Alt modifiers) to summon the pie menu.
Robust Modal Operator
Remains responsive even when you rotate, pan, or zoom the 3D View. Selection states persist until you complete or cancel, so you never lose your progress.
Press Esc or Right-Click at any time to cancel the operation and reset visuals.
Compatibility
Tested on Blender 3.6 LTS through 4.4 (and beyond).
Works on both object mode and edit mode (converting selections appropriately), supporting complex, multi-object scenes.
